Paddlers’ & Rowers’ Tips and Rules for Creekside Landing Marina

  1. Our area is generally safe. We’ve stored canoes, paddles and life jackets at the marina for decades and haven’t experienced theft. However, if you want to lock your boat up inside, that’s up to you. I intend for the boathouse to be secure.
  2. Our marina address is 6511 River Road in Prospect.
  3. An annual launch pass is $75 for those who want to trailer their own boats and use the marina as a launch site.
  4. Our rates for kayak and canoe storage spaces are $75 per season ($150 annually per craft stored). Our normal billing seasons are summer (May 1- October 31) and winter (November 1st – April 31st). We ask you to pay semiannually or annually. We will renew your contract automatically unless you notify us that you want to stop. Rowing shells and long kayaks stored in the floating pavilion are $120 per season or $240 for the year. You may send a check payable to Creekside Landing at P.O. Box 433, Harrods Creek, KY 40027 or Venmo me at Stephen-Rauh-2.
  5. Please park on the River Road side of the upper parking lot. Our upper parking lot will flood during most winter seasons. Both boathouses float, so your craft will be safe and dry.
  6. Please let me know if there are any safety issues you notice. I may be contacted at 502-644-4648. Text or email (steve.rauh007@gmail.com) are other ways to reach me.
  7. We strongly encourage you to avoid paddling on Harrods Creek and the Ohio River when there is a current and debris as they are definitely life-threatening challenges. Life jackets are always available on the wall inside the boathouse. Please, please wear one when paddling alone or in poor conditions.
  8. Other Amenities There is a hose for your use to clean your boats by the stairs on the launching dock. The gazebo is available for your use. There is also free ice at the ice machine located by the dock gazebo at slips 10
